Because we've used notation consistent with the rest of the DSP world
(well, mostly), we've had to use quite a few different symbols in this
book, some of which you may not have seen very often before or be very
comfortable with. Things like Greek letters or some types of math
operations. We've written up a table of all the symbols we used in
the book, and put in a brief description (and usually, a pointer to the
page where they're first used or defined). The file is in Adobe(R)
Acrobat(R) format--but then, if you have the book, you have the reader
on the CDROM. (If you don't, go to www.adobe.com
to download a version for free.)
